Microbrews In Oceanside

PubsAt Oceanside Jewelry Buyer we enjoy all things finely crafted; that includes a finely crafted micro-brew. It is probably not surprising then that when we have a little down time to relax that we sometimes will take a trip to the restaurant and brew pub Breakwater Brewing in Oceanside, which is located just steps from the beach.

The beer is thanks to Lars Gilman. A native southern Californian, Lars first became interested in home brewing when he moved to Chicago in 1998. In 2001 he took the Short Course in Brewing Technology at the Seibel Institute of Chicago, and shortly thereafter he began working at the Goose Island Brewery, where he learned the ins and outs of brewing on a commercial scale. He is joined by owner Shannon Sager, who has more than 17 years of experiences in restaurants, managing operations and making food.

Here are a few of the brew masterpieces that you can enjoy at Breakwater Brewing:

Beach Honey 5.2%. A light-bodied, easy drinking ale brewed with over a gallon of local grapefruit honey per barrel of beer.

Full Nelson Pale Ale 5.8%. A well balanced, medium bodied pale ale brewed  with 100% New Zealand grown Nelson Sauvin hops.

Railslide Red 6.6%. A hoppy, west coast style red ale perfect for all you hopheads

Kali Kush 6.8%.  A special pale ale brewed with a good dose of hops and a touch of locally wildcrafted sagebrush.
